Artist and composer Koen Holtkamp has spent more than two decades shaping a body of work at the intersection of ambient, experimental, and electroacoustic music. Known for his role in the influential duo Mountains, as well as a solo catalog defined by texture and spatial awareness, Holtkamp has long explored how sound interacts with environment and perception. With his latest ensemble album Nightlife on Wester Vinyl, he enters a new phase of that inquiry, one shaped as much by physical relocation as artistic evolution. Album release show featuring Matt Bauder on sax, Ben Vida on electric guitar and mbira and Koen Holtkamp on modular synthesizer.

Alexander Turnquist is a Hudson-Valley based instrumentalist who has been rooted in the experimental and ambient music world for over 20 years. Making use of fingerstyle guitar landscapes as a primary foundation for his compositions with a focus on overtone play and harmonic counterpoints. His releases on VHF Records and Western Vinyl have stretched the boundaries of the new “new-age” , neoclassical, and traditional American Primitive stylings into a personal sound best experienced live. Turnquist’s next forthcoming LP for VHF will be released in early 2027 digging deeper into his darker ambient and textural drone sounds."
