Tubby’s is proud to announce its official entrance to the spirited community of Kingston, NY. The bar is located in the center of the Midtown district at the corner of Broadway and Cornell streets -- look for the neon sign in the window.
Tubby’s has six taps spotlighting a rotating cast of premium selections with a focus on local breweries, such as Great Life Brewing, accompanied by one no-nonsense domestic choice. There will also be a large selection of craft cans and bottles, as well as a variety of wine and ciders. A wide range of liquor choices allows you the option to enjoy a mixed drink, savor a high-end cocktail, or sip on a rare mezcal.
The food menu is simple, yet delicious: casual, southern bar food with lots of housemade sauces to spice everything up to suit all tastes. The selections are mostly vegetarian, but there will be some hearty meat options. Featured offerings include vegetarian frito pie, a local grass-fed beef burger, and “totchos” -- tater tot nachos.
Tubby’s is also pleased to introduce an upcoming schedule of occasional live music by smaller touring acts performing an eclectic variety of left-of-the-dial art punk, noise, free jazz, ambient, electronic, etc., as well as dj nights.
As a neighborhood bar that is excited to serve the vibrant Midtown community, Tubby’s will also host gatherings promoting civic awareness, social justice, and cultural pride, as well as other fun and educational get-togethers including a book club, free ESL classes, and more.
Tubby’s: A place where a Jets fan can watch a game, eat a frito pie, and talk about life with the weirdo artist, music nerd, and local business owner sitting next to them, while the bartender plays heavy dub or cumbia LPs and keeps the beer flowing. Everybody in the Tub!
Tubby’s is open 4-midnight, 5 days a week. Closed on Tuesday / Wednesday.
