GOTH NIGHT!

The Treasury is the project of Troy Hancock of Richmond, VA. Cutting his teeth initially in the Raleigh NC punk scene, Hancock relocated to Richmond in 2018 and began to focus on experimenting with synths and drum machines. Following a revelatory Richmond show supporting EBM stalwarts Kontravoid and Lunacy, Hancock solidified his new, aggressive sound, combining a love for 1990s techno, post-punk, EBM, and Synth-punk into a unique and hard-hitting whole.

Excepter is a New York experimental electronic band. Founded 2002 by former No-Neck Blues Band member John Fell Ryan. Brought NNCK ethos of extended low technique free improvisation and street theater into the sound world of techno hardware: synthesizers, sequencers, drum machines, dub effects. Releases on Fusetron, Load, Kill Rock Stars, Paw Tracks, Blast First Petite, Escho. Turned accolades like Pitchfork Best New Music and cover of The Wire Magazine into reasons to go further underground. Currently operating out of Hudson Valley NY as an eternalist synth pop duo with mononymous singer, composer Lala. A new LP titled "Displacer" will be released on Excepter Records early 2026

From the outset, Clock Serum’s Contrast EP is tough. It’s four-on-the-floor body music with muscle and incessant energy—a collection of four tracks that embrace dramatic, driving percussion and volatile vocals by producer Andrew Wang. Side A begins with “Ghost”’s tenacious EBM bassline that creates a forceful headiness in contrast to elegant synth pads that lift the track from its filthiness. “Contrast,” the lead single, takes its vivacity from the likes of analog heroes Crash Course in Science with bouncy percussive elements. Wang’s punk-influenced vocals are the focus: “Put myself through hell, does it help?” he asks. “Who do I tell when you fall?”
