Avishag C. Rodrigues has become popularly known for being the guitarist for New York hotter-than-shit punk sensation Cumgirl8 (4AD) The New York based multi-instrumentalist, producer, and artist delivers a signature sound. Aloof, detached, and vulnerable – Rodrigues’ music is complex yet raw. With a range of genres in rock, low fi, dark electronic, noise, and experimental – Rodrigues weaves songs and stories with electric guitars dipped in synths, overflowing sound textures, and coy lyricism.
Matthewadonna is Australian born, New York based. His debut LP will be delivered via Fruity Records/ The Orchard Fall 2026.
Joseph Keckler is a singer-songwriter and author based in New York, who last year premiered the performance piece A Good Night in the Trauma Garden, commissioned and presented by The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Pelican Movement is the fictitious supergroup and solo musical project of New Paltz-based producer Kevin McMahon, owner of Marcata Recording, residing in the over 150 yr old barn where he has produced timeless records for Swans, Titus Andronicus, Widowspeak, Pile, Prewn, Liquor Store, Yonatan Gat, Rhett Miller, Our Mountain, Diarrhea Planet, Chris Bono- Nous, French Kicks, Prison, Waltz, Die! Die! Die!, Gang of Youths, Vowws, Real Estate, Battle Ave, Laura Stevenson, Shana Falana and many more.
Blending post-prog rock, shoegaze, and avant garde jazz, Pelican Movement is known for intricate, collage-style instrumental suites, such as the debut LP Fistful of Ivy. The project is driven by concept and community, bringing together various local and touring musicians at McMahon's New Paltz studio.
They will perform as a small ensemble with McMahon on guitar, Michael Simonelli on pedal steel and some special guests TBD, instrumentally reimagining songs from the upcoming album A Tension—a whirlwind odyssey featuring Izzy Hagerup of Prewn, Kriss Kuss of Pile, Michael DiSanto, Chris Robertson, Anna Mernieks of Beams, Thor Harris of Swans, and special appearances by artists Jared Samuel, Matthew Schreiber, Will Epstein, David Bales, Elisabeth Fuchsia, Nikkolai Weidemann, and Joseph Weiss.
